Ruth L. Schaefer, (nee Droege) age 98, of Elk Grove Village. Beloved wife of the late Robert F.; Loving mother of James (Martha), Thomas, Susan (Randall) Scheive, Paul (Karen) and the late Robert E.; Dear grandmother of Frank, Michael, Jacob, Zachary, and Matthew. Dear sister of the late James (Nancy) Droege. Beloved Aunt & Great Aunt to many who adored her.

Ruth was an amazing Mom, Grandmother, Aunt, loving sister, and a true friend whose joyful spirit brightened the lives of everyone she met. If you were blessed to meet her, you will never forget her. Her warm unselfish heart, sense of humor, competitiveness, wonderful hospitality, and endless kindness touched everyone she met. She had a rare gift for making everyone feel special, never forgetting a birthday, anniversary, or special occasion. Her kindness truly knew no bounds. We will always cherish the joy, laughter, wisdom, and unconditional love she gave so freely. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
