Phoebe J Naborowski

Phoebe J. Naborowski was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and the most precious wife. She served with distinction as a director of Nursing for Cook County, dedicating her career to compassion, leadership, and service to others.

She lived her life guided by strong values and an unwavering faith that shaped the way she cared for others. Her kind heart and natural ability to comfort and support people from all walks of life made her not only an exceptional nurse and leader, but a source of strength to family, friends, and colleagues alike. She believed deeply in treating every person with dignity and compassion, and she carried that belief into every interaction. Her faith was a quiet but powerful force, providing her with resilience, grace, and a deep sense of purpose. 

Loving wife of the late Hilary; Beloved mother of Jill (Michael) Gibson; Cherished grandmother of Abigail Romano, Alexander (Kayla) Romano, and Alyssa (Brian) Carlson; Dear great-grandmother of Reese Romano; Dear daughter of the late John and Josephine Kasluga; Fond aunt and friend of many.

Throughout her years, Phoebe was celebrated for her sense of humor—an attribute that brought light and warmth into every room she entered. Her sharp wit and playful nature were more than just a source of amusement; they were reflections of a deeply loving and quirky soul. Those fortunate enough to cross her path will remember her not only for the laughter she inspired but also for the strength and joy that defined her existence.

Visitation Wednesday, April 15th from 3:00-8:00 p.m. at The Oaks Funeral Home 1201 E. Irving Park Road (at Prospect), Itasca. Friends and Family will meet for Funeral Mass on Thursday, April 16th at 10:00 a.m. at St. Peter the Apostle Church at 551 N Rush St, Itasca. Interment private.
