Louise Capuani

Louise Capuani nee Rosato passed away on January 3, 2026, at the age of 90. Louise was the beloved wife of Frank Capuani, Sr. for 69 years; the loving mother of Diane (Glenn) Stahl, Annette (Keith Oplt) Capuani, Frank (Kimberly) Capuani and Valerie Martirano; cherished Nana of Michael (Amanda) Shumaker, Lisa (Brian) Creaney, Samantha (Nicholas) Giacobbe), Stephanie (Ryan) Darcy, Gina (Donald) Martirano, Christina and Nina Capuani; adored GG of Emma, Silas, Gianni, Vincent, Aria and Gianna; devoted sister of the late Irene (Angelo) Cannizzaro, Clara (Michael) Dellumo and Daniel Rosato; fond sister-in-law of Robert (Annette) Capuani and Loretta (the late Ray) Fuller. Proud aunt, great aunt, and great-great aunt to many nieces and nephews. Louise was preceded in death by loving parents Attilio and Nicolina Rosato.

Louise enjoyed reading, bingo, music, movies, cooking, baking, vacationing in Arizona and trips to the casino. Her greatest joy came from being surrounded by family and friends. She loved gathering for Sunday pasta dinners, where she prepared the most amazing food, and provided all with an abundance of love and joy. Her caring and thoughtful heart was a true gift to all who loved her. Louise lived a very full and blessed life. She will be deeply missed and forever in our hearts.

Visitation Sunday, January 11th 3:00-8:00 pm and Monday, January 12th, 8:00 am until time of Funeral, 9:30 am at The Oaks Funeral Home, 1201 E Irving Park Road (at Prospect) Itasca to Holy Ghost Church. Mass 10:00 am. 

In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital are appreciated.
