Lorrie Rae Heggaton

Lorrie Rae Heggaton (nee Chval) of Addison, Illinois sadly left us on March 13, 2024. She is survived by daughters Rhea (Salomon Rodriguez), Rachel (Jamie Sabin), sister Rachel Beale (John), brother James Egan (Melissa), good friend Matthew Espeland and cat Binx. She was preceded in death by Florence and James Egan, Janice Chval and Tommy Chval and numerous feline companions. 

Lorrie was the proud business owner of Forest Awards and Engraving in Wood Dale, Illinois. She began her illustrious career in engraving and awards in 1984 and took over ownership of the business with Judy Rohn in 1995. She continued working until her retirement in December 2019. 

She was the president of the Wood Dale Chamber of Commerce for many years and took great pride in serving the business community. She was Wood Dale Business Owner of the Year in 2004.

Lorrie had a generous heart and during her life took care of many cats. She enjoyed painting, crocheting and baking. She will be missed by her dear friends and neighbors. 

Visitation, followed by a service in her honor, will be held on Saturday, March 16, 2024 at 9:00 am at The Oaks Funeral Home 1201 E. Irving Park Road (at Prospect), Itasca.
