Biography

Judith McBride Arbeiter Budde, 77, of Roselle, went to sleep in the peace of Jesus on April 10th, 2023 following a long illness. The youngest daughter of George and Lois (Baumgartener) Arbeiter, Judy was born on August 5th, 1945 in Aurora, Illinois. She graduated from West Aurora High School and later attended the University of Illinois, where she was a proud member of the Delta Gamma fraternity. Judy met Jim, her beloved husband of 52 years, soon after graduating college. They raised their daughter, Kara, along with a host of four-legged kids, in Roselle. She was a deeply caring wife and the best mother anyone could hope for. Judy worked as a speech therapist in Glen Ellyn District 41 and later at Lake Park High School. She loved her students like they were her own. Judy loved being a “young aunt” to her sister’s four sons. Later she was blessed with three more nieces and another nephew. She reveled in watching her family grow, delighting in her nieces’ and nephews’ children and grandchildren. She counted her brother, George, and late sister, Jan, among her best friends. Judy loved the beach, animals, and sports (particularly “her” Fighting Illini and the Chicago Cubs), but she loved her family and friends more than anything else. She leaves behind a large and loving family and many dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and older sister, Jan. Judy’s Celebration of Life will be held at Trinity Episcopal Church 130 N West St, Wheaton, Illinois, at 11am on May 6th, 2023. All are welcome. In lieu of flowers, please donate to a charity of your choice or reach out in love however you feel is best. Judy had a particular heart for animals and adoption of all kinds, but was very clear that she wanted people to do anything in her honor that they felt was right.
