Biography

Herbert W. “Bill” Freiburger Jr., age 91, formerly of Chicago, passed away peacefully in Largo, Florida with his three sons by his side. He was the beloved husband of the late Joan Freiburger for nearly 50 years; Loving father of Dale (Georgia), Glenn (Margaret) and Gary; Devoted grandfather of Nicole (Ryan), Michael (April) and Greta and great-grandfather of Christian, Sebastian, Noelle, Autumn, Athena, Mason, Lyla, and Sierra. Bill graduated from Lane Tech High School, served in Alaska with the Army, and worked almost 40 years at Illinois Bell. He enjoyed watching sports, classic TV, and old movies, coaching youth baseball and basketball, bowled in several leagues, and was involved and led Cub Scout Pack 3955. A chapel service will be held on Tuesday, April 11 at 11:00 AM at Memory Gardens Cemetery, 2501 E Euclid Ave, Arlington Heights.
