Friedrick A. Schmidt March 21, 1932 – July 16, 2022. Husband for 65 years of Blanche E. Schmidt; Father of Jon (Diane) Schmidt, Victoria (Kevin) Surges and David (Laurie) Schmidt; Grandfather of Jonathan (Kerry) Schmidt, Nicole (Justin) Kastory, Lauren (Ricky) Lanham, Dereck (Katherine) Surges, Brittany (Ryan) Garland, Autumn (Brandon) Johnson and Madison Schmidt; Great-Grandfather of Kaylee Schmidt, Finnick and Jackson Kastory, London and Declan Lanham, Emma and Amelia Garland and Mia Johnson. Visitation Tuesday 4:00 – 8:00 pm at The Oaks Funeral Home 1201 E. Irving Park Road (at Prospect), Itasca. Family and friends will meet Wednesday, 11:00 am for a Funeral Service at The Lutheran Church of Saint Luke 410 S. Rush Street, Itasca. Interment Saint Luke Cemetery, Itasca.
