Elzbieta Sulisz

Elżbieta M. Sulisz, age 82 (January 24, 1944 – April 18, 2025) Beloved wife of the late Zygfryd Sulisz, with whom she shared 62 years of devoted marriage. Loving mother to Alicja (Robert) Miller and Pawel (Dorota) Sulisz. Cherished grandmother of Christian (Kathleen) Miller, Lauren (Robert) TeKampe, Jacqueline Sulisz (Angel Montella), and Jonathan Sulisz. Adored great-grandmother of Madison, Logan, and Florencia. Elżbieta was the loving sister of Zygmunt, Alicja, and Jan, and the dear daughter of the late Anna and Stanislaw. Born in Warsaw, Poland, Elżbieta met the love of her life, Zygfryd, in 1961. Together, they began their journey in a modest apartment, building a life centered around love, perseverance, and family. In 1971, with hope for a brighter future for their children, the Sulisz family immigrated to the United States, eventually settling in Itasca, Illinois. There, Elżbieta created a warm and loving home that became the foundation for three generations. Her life was marked by quiet strength, unwavering devotion to her family, and an adventurous spirit that took her around the world. Above all, she found joy in watching her family grow and thrive. She passed away surrounded by the legacy she so lovingly nurtured—as a wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Elżbieta's presence will be deeply missed, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of all who loved her. Services: Visitation will be held on Monday, May 5 at Saint Peter the Apostle Church,551 N. Rush Street, Itasca, Illinois, beginning at 10:00 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. Interment will take place at Maryhill Cemetery, 8600 N.
