Edwina Skora

Edwina Skora (nee Alimenti) was born to Eternal Life on Wednesday, October 4, 2023 at the glorious age of 100. Beloved wife of the late Frank Skora. Dear mother of Sue (Bernard) Hennings and the late Paul (Jan) Skora; Cherished grandmother of Melissa (Jered) Woodward, Jessica Jones, and Eric Hennings; Loving great-grandmother of Logan, Madelyn, Nicholas, Ophelia, Casey, and Christopher; Dear daughter of Tullio and Giovannina; Fond sister of the late Elaine Deutsch and Connie Busch; Further survived by other relatives and many friends.

Edwina was born in Ironwood, MI. She married the love of her life, Frank, in Chicago. Together they celebrated 56 years of marriage during which she and Frank owned and operated a boutique dress shop, Dane Kremër located first in the Palmer House and later in Park Ridge. Edwina served as president of the Itasca Garden Club and as Itasca Village Clerk over multiple successive terms. Edwina loved family, cooking, owls, and tending to her expansive garden. She also enjoyed, hosting dinner parties, fine art, and classical music.

Visitation and a Memorial Service to celebrate Edwina’s life and legacy will be held starting at 10 a.m. Thursday, November 2nd at First Presbyterian Church in Itasca. Interment will be private. For information, 630-250-8588 or oaksfh.com.
