Biography

Dennis was the dear son of the late John Patrick and Anna Marie Dayer Jordan; beloved brother of Michael (Nancy), Patricia (Ray) Fox, the late baby Joan, the late Judy, the late John, the late baby Robert, the late baby Joseph, Daniel (Mary Ann), David, Patrick (Theresa), the late Martin (Maureen), Mary (Scott) Mattas; Loving uncle to Corey (Jamie) Mattas, Meghan Jordan (Ryan McGuire), the late John Fox (Alexandria Seydel), Lisa (Michael) Lowes, Lauren Gaborek, Michael Mattas, Kima Whitehawk Jordan, Goddaughter Camille Jordan, Jordan Mattas, John P. Jordan, Jack Jordan, Elizabeth Mattas, Liam Jordan, Caroline Jordan, Martin Jordan, Jr. and Jackson Mattas; Cherished friend, nephew and cousin to many. Dennis truly loved family. He was one of a kind. He was born right in the middle of 10 kids in a crazy fun family growing up in the 50's and 60's in Chicago. His loving parents, 9 siblings, and 15 nieces and nephews meant the world to him. He admired the kids so much and looked up to them and all they accomplished in their lives. Dennis also loved his many cousins in Illinois, Arkansas where his mom grew up, Oklahoma, and elsewhere. He loved his Swiss cousins and he met and became good friends with many of them through the years. He loved and was loved by his loyal dogs Sober, Razorback, and Blue. He appreciated family near and far. Talking with family made him smile. He started our annual family reunion in Arkansas 30 years ago, attended by over 100 cousins each year. It won’t be the same without him. His friends also meant everything to Dennis. Nice guy. Good friend. Big heart. Loyal. Kind soul. He was funny, caring, and compassionate. He was a friend to all and will be greatly missed by those who loved him.
