Charles “Kenny” “Smitty” Smith; devoted husband of Kathleen nee Marley; cherished father of Gayle (Kevin) Basgall, Megan (Fred) Martin and the late Matthew; also Geoff (Holly); loving grandfather of Bonnie and Kevin Basgall, Marley Erickson-Smith, Flynn and Gwenn Martin, Kelly, Courtney, Wyatt and Elliott; dear brother of Sharon (Dennis) Rizzo and Robert (Chris) and the late Katherine (John) Ortiz, Richard (Linda), Fred (Gate) and Ron (Tim); fond uncle of many; longtime driver at Business Interiors/Environetex and 15 years at First Student of Schaumburg. Visitation Tuesday 4-8 PM at The Oaks Funeral Home 1201 E. Irving Park Rd (Irving & Prospect), Itasca. Family and friends will gather for visitation 9 AM until Mass of Christian Burial 10 AM at Queen of the Rosary Church 750 W Elk Grove Blvd, Elk Grove Village. Interment All Saints Cemetery.
