Carmella T. Fagan (née Fonzino) was born in Chicago, IL, to John Fonzino and Marilyn Fonzino (née Martin). Carmella was a dedicated court reporter and activist, serving public defense and progressive justice lawyers for decades. A beloved wife and mother, she is survived by her husband of 40 years, Colin J. Fagan, and her two children Eilis M. Fagan (Colin Neumann) and Conor M. Fagan. She is survived by her brother Johnny Fonzino. Carm was a doting and involved aunt to Lisa, Tracy, Mikey, Jamie, Jimmy, Tara, Rory, Deirdre, Bridget, Katie, Maureen, and Siobhan, as well as many great-nieces and -nephews. Carm’s family extended beyond humans, and she loved animals nearly as much as people. She is survived by her dog, Reckless Boone, and cat, Lola. In her memory, donations to Border Tails Animal Rescue or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital are appreciated. Visitation Tuesday, April 23 3:00-8:00 pm and Wednesday, April 24th 8:00 am until time of Funeral, 9:30 am at The Oaks Funeral Home, 1201 E Irving Park Road (at Prospect) Itasca to Holy Ghost Church, Wood Dale.
