Anne Marie Greco

We celebrate the beautiful life of Anne Marie Greco (née Mazzei), age 83, of Itasca, Illinois. Anne Marie passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on November 4, 2025.

She was the beloved wife of Ottavio Paul Greco; loving mother of Jennifer (Jason) Huntowski and John Paul (Lauren) Greco; proud Nonna of Sofia, James, Olivia, Anthony, and Johnny. She was the sister of Elvio Mazzei, and the late sisters Celestina Costabile, Flora Danesi, and Frances Tronco, with whom she shared close bonds. She was a dear aunt to many nieces and nephews.

Anne was a woman of grace and strength whose warmth touched all who knew her. She will be remembered for her kindness, joy of life, unwavering dedication and love of family, and her passion for baking and cooking. Anne Marie was known for her exceptional homemade pizza, pasta, friselle, cookies, and tiramisu. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, November 10, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Peter the Apostle Church, 551 N. Rush St., Itasca, Illinois, followed by a private interment (immediate family) at All Saints Cemetery in Des Plaines, Illinois.
