Biography

Agustina Méndez Ramírez , age 77 of Bensenville, IL passed away on Thursday, January 13, 2022 surrounded by her loved ones. Agustina, lovingly known to her family and friends as Tina, was born on August 28,1944 in Escobedo, Durango, México to Jesus and Merced (Nevarez) Mendez. Agustina married Martin Ramírez on July 14, 1973 and spent many happy years together until his passing on November 16, 2016. Agustina was a devoted Catholic and member of St. Alexis Church in Bensenville. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, godmother, and aunt who will be missed by her family and friends. Agustina is survived by her children, Maria Angelica (Iván) Noyola and Martin (Elizabeth) Ramírez; and her grandchildren, Angie (Fiancée, Landon Saile), Giovanni, Jocelyn, Clarissa, Cynthia, Martin III, Malena, Manolo, Mateo, and Marcos; and sister of Francisco (Esperanza), Apolonio (Maria), Guillermo (Maria), Pomposo (Valeriana), Tiburcio (Maria), and Luis (Clara). She was preceded in death by her parents, Jesús and Merced (Nevárez) Méndez, sister Lucia, her brothers Marcelino (Luz), Juan (Maria), and Asunción (Rita); and her loving husband, Martin Ramírez. Visitation will be on Friday, January 21st from 3:00 - 8:00 p.m. and Saturday, January 22nd from 9:00 a.m. until time of Funeral 9:30 a.m. at The Oaks Funeral Home, 1201 E Irving Park Rd (at Prospect), Itasca to St. Alexis Church 400 W Wood Ave, Bensenville.
