Biography

Agnes A. Grams, age 78, a retired nurse from Wood Dale. She passed away after a long courageous battle with multiple illnesses in Joliet, Illinois with family by her side. She will be deeply missed by many friends and family. Beloved wife of Herbert ; Cherished mother of Jeff, Russell, and Janice; Dear sister of Veronica Pearson, the late Theresa Von Bee, Loretta Gladkowski, Andrew (Mary) Gladkowski, and Walter Gladkowski; Fond aunt of many nieces and nephews; Loving dog mom to Elsa, Dora, and Jackson, as well as many granddogs; Agnes spent her 45 year career at Marklund Children’s Home in Bloomingdale dedicated to caring for severe and profound disabled children. She was the Vice President/Board Member of the Itasca Senior Club. Member of the Wood Dale Senior Club. Avid member of the Queen Bee Quilters; Proud graduate of St. Elizabeth Hospital School of Nursing in Chicago; Treasured member of NEDSRA; Devoted animal lover. Visitation Sunday, April 23rd from 3:00-8:00pm and Monday April 24th at 8:00am until time of funeral 9:30 at The Oaks Funeral Home 1201 E Irving Park Rd (at Prospect) Itasca. Funeral Mass, 10:00 am at Holy Ghost Church 254 N Wood Dale Rd, Wood Dale. Friends and family will meet for the interment at Windridge Cemetery located at 7014 S Rawson Bridge Rd, Cary.
