Adelaida Almendrala

Adelaida Almendrala, born on April 22, 1934, peacefully passed away on March 7, 2024, at Ascension Alexian Brothers Hospital where she was surrounded by her loved ones. Adelaida was a beloved sister, a cherished aunt, and a respected member of her community.

Adelaida is survived by her siblings Josefina, Andrea, Carlos and Erlinda and her son Charles, his wife Pam and their son, Lucas. She was one of ten siblings, born to her father Jose Salvador Almendrala and mother Fabiana Dioso Almendrala. Adelaida's family was her foundation, and she treasured the bonds they shared.

Adelaida's professional life was dedicated to education and finance. She served as a passionate teacher at San Pedro Elementary School in the Philippines, where she touched the lives of countless students. Adelaida's dedication and commitment to nurturing young minds left a lasting impact on the San Pedro, Laguna community she served. Later, she utilized her skills in payroll and bookkeeping in Addison, Illinois, where she showcased her attention to detail and strong work ethic.

Beyond her professional achievements, Adelaida found joy in spending quality time with her family. She was known for her culinary skills and was renowned as the best cook in the family. Her meals brought everyone together, creating cherished memories around the dining table.

In memory of Adelaida Almendrala, a memorial service will be held at the Holy Ghost Church in Wood Dale, Illinois, on Friday April 5, 2024. Friends, family, and all whose lives she touched are invited to come together to share their memories and celebrate the vibrant life she lived.

Adelaida's legacy will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew her. Her kindness, generosity, and unwavering love will continue to inspire and guide us. May she rest in eternal peace, knowing that she made a significant impact on the lives of those around her.
